Clear, detailed information about how Task Urge handles the website and its front-office services.
Last updated August 22, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Task Urge ("Task Urge," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you visit our website, request a demo, communicate with us, or interact with a Task Urge service.
Task Urge provides front-office tools for home-service businesses. A business that uses Task Urge may have its own privacy policy and may be responsible for the information it collects from its customers. This policy describes Task Urge's practices; it does not replace a client business's own notices or obligations.
Depending on how you interact with us and which features are enabled, we may collect the following categories of information:
| Category | Examples |
|---|---|
| Contact and business details | Name, business name, email address, phone number, job title, service area, industry, and messages submitted to us. |
| Service and account details | Configuration choices, business hours, services offered, workflow details, A2P registration information, and support communications. |
| Call and message data | Caller-provided contact details, service-request information, recordings, transcripts, summaries, call metadata, and SMS content when a client enables those capabilities. |
| Online activity and device data | IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referral source, approximate location inferred from IP address, cookie identifiers, and interaction data. |
| Commercial information | Service plan, billing records, purchase history, and correspondence related to an account or proposal. |
We ask clients not to configure Task Urge to collect sensitive information unless it is necessary for the service and they have a lawful basis and appropriate notice to do so.
When enabled by a Task Urge client, calls may be answered by an AI receptionist and may be recorded, transcribed, summarized, or routed to the business. The content can include details a caller voluntarily provides, such as their name, phone number, address, service need, and appointment preferences.
When you choose to start a Task Urge browser voice demo, you are interacting with an AI and agree that the interaction may be recorded and retained for quality assurance, security, training, and service improvement. The demo is not an emergency line and does not create a service request, appointment, or customer record.
Recording and transcription laws vary by location and call participants. The participating business is responsible for providing any required notice, obtaining consent where required, and setting its Task Urge configuration in accordance with applicable law. Task Urge does not use call content for unrelated advertising.
When messaging is enabled, Task Urge may send or help clients send service-related texts such as confirmations, updates, follow-up messages, and support communications. Message frequency varies and message and data rates may apply.
Recipients may use available opt-out instructions, including replying STOP where applicable. Clients are responsible for their own messaging program disclosures, consent records, A2P registration, and compliance with applicable telemarketing and messaging requirements.
Task Urge does not sell or rent mobile phone numbers or SMS consent information for another company's marketing purposes.
We use vendors that help us deliver and support the service. Depending on the services in use, these providers may include:
Providers may process information only as needed to perform their services, subject to their own agreements and policies. Not every provider receives every type of information.
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide services, meet legal and accounting obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and maintain security. The period depends on the information involved, client settings, and the applicable service.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No system or transmission method is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Depending on your location and the law that applies, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or information about the personal information we hold about you. You may also have the right to opt out of certain targeted advertising, sale, or sharing as those terms are defined by applicable law.
To make a privacy request, email hello@taskurge.com with "Privacy Request" in the subject line. We may need to verify your identity before responding. We will respond as required by applicable law and may retain limited information where necessary for legitimate business, legal, security, or compliance reasons.
Task Urge is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact us so we can review and address the request.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the revised policy on this page and update the "Last updated" date.
